Original jewelry-industry samples from approximately the 1960s–1970s

Before a ring ever made its way into a jewelry case, designs like these began as samples. Sample rings were created for manufacturers, designers, sales representatives, or retailers to preview styles, finishes, stones, and designs before pieces went into larger-scale production. Some were used as showroom or sales samples, while others represented designs being considered for a collection.

Based on the construction, materials, styling, original tags, and designs found throughout this collection, these rings are believed to date primarily to the 1960s–1970s — an era known for bold cocktail rings, colorful stones, statement settings, and increasingly adventurous costume jewelry.

That makes these rings especially fun to collect: they're little artifacts of the jewelry industry itself, offering a glimpse into the styles and craftsmanship being presented to buyers more than 50 years ago.

WearEvers acquired a large collection of these vintage sample rings, including an incredible variety of designs, settings, and colorful stones. Some are unmarked, while others are stamped SAMPLE or retain original sample tags.

Quality & Construction

These are substantial, well-made vintage costume jewelry pieces with heavy gold plating, detailed settings, and beautiful craftsmanship. WearEvers has also wear-tested examples from the collection, with no green discoloration observed during testing.

As with all vintage jewelry, these pieces have already lived a life before arriving here. Minor variations, patina, or signs of age may be present and are part of their vintage character.

Choose Your Style

Each vintage sample ring is $30.

WearEvers has multiples of some designs featuring different stone colors and combinations, so the exact stone color may vary slightly from the example photographed. With so many possible combinations in this collection, creating a separate listing for every variation simply isn't practical.

If you have your heart set on a particular color or stone combination, reach out before ordering and I’ll be happy to show you what is currently available in your size.

These are true vintage finds, so availability varies by design and size — and once a particular combination is gone, it may not return.

Vintage. Wearable. Collectible. And a tiny glimpse behind the curtain of the 1960s–70s jewelry industry.
